My name is Bob Hicks. I am self taught in photography having begun with a black & white darkroom in a closet in the 60's. After college in the 70's (business degree), I moved to color darkroom work for a few years. I then put away my toys in favor of family and career until the digital darkroom re-awakened my passion for photography in the late 90's. I have flirted with trying to make a living from my images but found that it simply killed the passion. I still make my living in business, but give as much time as I am able to creating photographic images. I shoot what I like, not what I must.
